The American foxhound is the state dog of Virginia and the Walker Coonhound is named after Dr. Thomas Walker who discovered the Cumblerand Gap and was the second person to import foxhounds to America. Walker was a resident of Albermarle County, Virginia.

Walkers are an important strain of American foxhound that later evolved in a breed of coonhound called the Treeing Walker coonhound. Most show American foxhounds are actually Walkers. There are several strains of American foxhound--Walker, Trigg, and July are just a few.
The Walker coonhound is now a different breed from the Walker strain of American foxhound. So Walker actually began the line of two breeds.
I assume the breeder of this litter was found dead of exhaustion (or possibly suicide) on a pile of newspaper filled trash bags and dirty puppy laundry.
I wonder if all those pups survived - or indeed if the litter was culled. Seems likely that not all of them made it, for whatever reason.
